Despite a 50% split of male and female film graduates, women are still struggling to get equal representation in the screen industries. WIFT Vic patron Sue Maslin, screen producer and RMIT adjunct professor, addressed this issue in a keynote speech at RMIT on December 2, 2015 as part of the Graduate Research Conference in the School of Media and Communication.
In the context of industry developments, diversity arguments, and her own trajectory as a filmmaker (most recently as producer of ‘The Dressmaker’), Sue outlined her experiences in relation to gender issues in the Screen Industry. Watch the video here.
